NINE! Month of Challenges Begins in 24 Hours!
One full Month of Challenges. M.O.C or EM OH Cee, or some call it MACH! Thirty-one days of scrapping challenges. An insanity that causes creativity to explode and stress that brings out the best in kindness! This started nine years ago, our Julie (aka mrs2a50) came up with this idea. We laughingly blame and love her for the idea! There are many returning scrappers that have done every year, others that finished some, and others that show up in January for the explosion of mojo that happens!I have got to tell you the elves at North Pole got nothing on the Polly’s in the back room! The flurry of activity and pages scrapped then re-scrapped to make sure every single challenge is clear and “challenging “ is off the charts! We have had years that other BIG stores closed along with their forums, and precious scrappers & designers orphaned came to the Lily Pad and found a new home. … [Read more...]

Book List Mania
Hello everyone and welcome to the last Template Tuesday post of 2020! Because we are at the end of the year, I thought it might be helpful to talk about documenting those annual projects, like reading challenges and goals. For the past several years I have participated in the Good Reads annual reading challenge and I love documenting the books I have read. Since it is Template Tuesday, I wanted to share how you can use different styles of templates do document your reading goals. Weekly or monthly life templates are great for this task! Take a look at this layout where I documented some of my favorite reads of the year: Multi photo templates with white space for inserting book titles also work well for this project: You can even use a traditional embellished template to create a unique layout (this one is probably my … [Read more...]
Duplicating a Framed Photo
Hi pad scrappers! It's Monica here with a quick tip for duplicating a framed photo on your layout.I wanted to scrap this photo of my son and daughter in the little bit of snow we had last week. They are together in this photo, but I wanted to place them in two separate frames on my layout.First I opened a 12x12 document and placed a background paper on it. I also placed a frame and made a duplicate frame, positioning them where I wanted them on the page.Next, I placed the photo on the layout under the frame on the left side, resized it and rotated it to position it where I wanted it on the frame. Then I copied this photo and moved the duplicate photo up to be positioned directly underneath the right frame. I also hid this copied layer so I could work with the first frame and photo. To place the photo in the frame I clicked inside the frame with … [Read more...]
‘Twas the Night Before Christmas – Scrapbook Style
Okay, no mice in this story, unless it is a mouse to the computer. So, my brain is full of Christmas and no scrapping tonight, but this story is for those who perhaps they just might! (oh I will be rhyming the rest of the day)'Twas the blog before Christmas, when all thru the housenot a minute of mojo, nothing I could even rouse. The gallery was full of pages all made with such care.I commented with hopes that inspiration soon would be there. The photos were all nestled all snug in their folders, while visions of out of bounds pages weighted on my shoulders. And me in my robe and my cup full of Frap, had just settled my butt in my office chair to scrap. When out of my notifications there arose such a clatter,I clicked on the open to see what was the matter. The opening of Windows, took just a flash. Then the icon of yahoo, was red as a … [Read more...]
