‘Twas the Night Before Christmas – Scrapbook Style

December 22, 2020 by The Lilypad 4 Comments

Okay, no mice in this story, unless it is a mouse to the computer.  So, my brain is full of Christmas and no scrapping tonight, but this story is for those who perhaps they just might! (oh I will be rhyming the rest of the day)

‘Twas the blog before Christmas, when all thru the house

not a minute of mojo, nothing I could even  rouse.

The gallery was full of pages all made with such care.

I commented with hopes that inspiration soon would be there.

The photos were all nestled all snug in their folders,

while visions of out of bounds pages weighted on my shoulders.

And me in my robe and my cup full of Frap,

had just settled my butt in my office chair to scrap.

When out of  my notifications there arose such a clatter,

I clicked on the open to see what was the matter.

The opening of Windows, took just a flash.

Then the icon of yahoo, was red as a sash.

The Lily-Pad had a sale that made me go whoa!

The colors were were amazing and I began to know,

that what to my wondering mojo should appear

but a sale with designs that I knew were so dear!

Premade templates, so easy and quick.

I knew in a moment, this would do the trick.

More rapid than mojo, the designers they came,

and I whistled and shouted and called some by name;

Now Allison! And Amy!

Now, Becca and Gypsy!

Yes, Soco!  Yes Cheryl!

Oh Renee, and Miss Jaimee!

A click to the cart,

I wanted them all!

Now downloading, and waiting,

I was having a ball!

And then the unzipping, I knew all the truth,

that I had scored quite the haul.

As I drew my hand to the view tab and closed the background,

my mouse flew like lightning as I filed all I had found.

There were kits full of smiles, word art and fun.

and some had paints, magic lights and frames for loved ones.

A bundle from Miss Grieveson, I knew was the first

I would open and the colors that would burst!

The glitter-how it sparkled! The papers, so merry!

Then Kirsten’s and Kim’s there were even some fairies!

Little Butterfly wings, were full of some bows,

and look at Rebecca, has dolls in the snow!

The grunge of Miss Paula mixed with Rachels designs

will have all my pages decorated to the nines!

Sahlin Designs  and Elif Sahin cause a me to stop

both so different and happy on my desktop!

Mommyish her style so fun, and Sara’s stories so delph,

Goodness, these pages soon would be making themselves!

I spoke not a word, but went straight to my work,

and filled all the layers, then turned with a jerk.

And pulling down the file tab, I saved with a click.

All the fun things I had collected and a page made so quick.

I sprang to the gallery and uploaded my treasure,

And waited for love from my peers with oh such pleasure.

then I exclaimed to the scrappers, with a bunch of delight:

Merry Christmas to all, there’s more memories tonight!
