Hello Polly Stefanie here again with a super fun, filled template. I started with Designed by Soco's Pocket Stories Template #4 set.Next I looked through my camera roll for all of the pink photos I had taken in the past year.I love pink and thought to highlight my love of that colour in a layout. As usual I started with my photos.Next I changed the colour of the speech bubble to pink using the eye dropper in Photoshop elements. And added in the papers I wanted to.I then decided to change up the colours in the numbers as well, again using the eye dropper tool, and I added my journaling and embellishments. This makes me so happy, I just love it. … [Read more...]
Template Tuesday : Step by Step
Hello again, Polly Stefanie here with a step by step layout I did recently.I started with a template set by Anita Designs, coming to the store in SOSN tomorrow.I wanted to tell the story of our second week of January with 7 photos.I love starting with a woodgrain as my background. It really is my go to and I will usually choose it if there is one in the kit I am using. I added my photos, one for each day of the week, chronologically from top left to bottom right. Even though there are white mattings below the photos, I chose to remove them and add a white stroke to my photos. It's just something I enjoy doing and makes my layouts look more cohesive to me.I felt this time though that some papers were needed between the photos and the wood grain. The photos felt a little lost with only the paper strips that were in the template. Just a reminder that templates are a starting … [Read more...]
Template Tuesday: Title & Intro pages
Hello there, Polly Stefanie S here with some inspiration I found in the Pollywog Gallery. It's a new year and a fresh start.Maribel has a fabulous intro page. She showcases a photo of each of the family as well as their ages and weights. She used this template pack by NBK Designs, image is linked to store.I love setting out intention for the new year. Even if I decide to change things up. This year I want to be flexible and if I want to change it, I will. No one really cares if I start with pockets and end with clustery goodness instead. This layout by melscrap, showcases a selfie of her and feels very hopeful of good things for 2024.For my week 1 page, I included my word for the year, EMBRACE, a selfie and my intentions of scrapbooking 2024.RebeecaH documented a re-set for January. Also a great starting off point for a fresh new year.I love this idea and whole … [Read more...]
Template Tuesday: Mix and Match
Hello again, Polly Stefanie here with a layout I created about the loss of my daughter. I wanted to create her name as the focal point, an eye catching title, and so I used Scrapping with Liz : Recap 2023 Template Bundle to do so.I used the S from September, the A from August, the R and H from March. I also duplicated the little stitched sections to visually attach the paper pieces for all the letters. While I know that this was not the original intention of the designer, I am delighted with the end result and it shows the versatility of Liz's template packs.I hope this inspires you to use bits from at least tow different templates and create something different from the original design. I love this creativity of this hobby. … [Read more...]

Hello again, Polly Stefanie here with another step by step usage of a template for you.I started with this template by Scrapping with Liz: Christmas NotesI started with the photo and some paper layers.Next I added some elements and dimensional goodies, I like to shadow as I go. Template Tuesday : Step by step
Hello there, Polly Stefanie here with a template of Anita Design's called Winds of change, that I used as a starting point for my layout.I started with my photos and clipped papers into their respective spots within the template. Then I added some brownish flowers, alternating them to the left and right of the photo series. And I added the cute Elf and Christmas tree with some word art to visually ground them on the layout. And lastly I added the title, journaling and a doily bit on the left of the layout to bring the eye into the layout from the left hand side, as we like to look from left to right.I hope that this inspires you a little to add a little (or a lot) to any given template. … [Read more...]
