Call it Luck: inspiration for St. Patty’s Day

Grab your green dye and don't forget the shamrocks. Today is St. Patrick's Day and all over the world people are celebrating in their own ways. I don't call myself superstitious but wearing a bit of green today is a sure bet I won't get pinched. Do you celebrate the holiday of luck? Whether it's your thing or not, I'm here with a bit of inspiration to help you document any type of luck you want with some finds from the gallery and the shop.Who needs luck when you've got beautiful products and photos to scrap?!Maybe you want to make sure you're pinch proof? Grab a shamrock for extra luck.Good luck is finding the perfect photo to compliment the template you chose. It might be serendipity or maybe you just deserve a bit of luck in your life.Or maybe you're just lucky all the time and it shows.Did you find the pot of gold at the end … [Read more...]

Template Tuesday: full size to card size

There are a lot of templates in my stash. And I am always looking for different ways to use them. One of those ways is adapting them for pocket pages. Today I'm going to show you a couple of ways to do that.Adapting your templates is a great way to stretch your stash. And the ideas I am going to show you can easily be combined with pocket page templates to create a world of possibilities. So let us have a look at three techniques I often use.The first way to adapt a template is making it smaller. This works well with templates that have big items on them and not too many layers. I chose one of Gina Millers Foxy Templates for this technique. Because the composition is centered on the page it still works really well when you reduce the size. To go from a full 12x12 inch layout to a 6x4 inch card you need to reduce the size to 50%.  As you can see I leave a few layers out when … [Read more...]

Throwback Thursday | Old to New

Hi friends. I'm here with a fun throwback Thursday post this week. MOC is going on in the forum right now and each day brings a new challenge. MOC Day 4 asked us to re-scrap an old layout of ours and if you haven't completed that one yet, then this post may be helpful right now.Of course, there are many reasons to re-do or revisit an older layout. Maybe your overall scrap style has changed and this would allow you to create the older layouts in your new style. Maybe there's some new products that fit the theme, mood, or photo more than when you first scrapped it (hello fellow digi-stash hoarders like myself lol). And then, maybe you just weren't quite happy with the old layout and re-doing it is the only thing that will ease your feeling you get when you look at it. (again, I'm raising my hand, lol)I went through my gallery here and found a super old layout that at the time I … [Read more...]

Monday Mash-Up | Varied Template Styles

Hey everyone welcome to a little Monday Mash-up using two varied style of templates. Mashing templates together creates new ways to stretch your stash and gives you the opportunity to try a new style, save time, or stay inspired as we scrap all of our memories.                           definition: Mash-up                            noun- informal.* a combination or mixing of dissimilar elements, especially content from different sources. There's been many mash-up posts on the blog, like using the same designer kits with different themes or like using more than one kit with the same color scheme. But today I want to share how I use different styles of templates to create one unique page to fit my needs or artistic inspiration.I had a photo in mind already and an idea of what I wanted to scrap so I spent some time in the Shop just perusing Fiddle Dee-Dee's templates … [Read more...]

Template Tuesday | A Clean Slate

Hey everyone I'm super excited to be presenting my very first Polly blog post here at TLP. Find the November challenge template in the shop right now and it's totally FREE for the month. If you know me, then you know I love me some clusters but sometimes I just need a clean slate to be creative with.
