Hey there Lilypad fans! It's Katrina, aka katrinahunt13, sharing a way to get a jump on getting those thank you cards done after the holidays. I know from experience that if I don't get those thank you cards out pretty quickly, then I don't get them sent. I made these quickly in a night, which included coming up with what I was going to do, what papers, to use, etc. I also wanted to make sure that these were something that you could do easily with a regular printer only. No print and cut on the Silhouette Cameo for these! These would be GREAT for the kiddos home on break to make after you printed the elements out!So what's easier than using a template to start a page, right? Well the right template can also be used to create cards! I used Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs Meet Me In The Middle (Dressed Up). This one is perfect for a square card, which is my favorite shape!I hid … [Read more...]

As soon as I saw this collection of templates, I knew I wanted to do hybrid layouts with them. This is the Big Words Dressed Up by Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs and I loved the big picture in this one. And I used Just Jaimee's December Storyteller Kit|Journal Cards for my "supplies".NOTE: I have a wide format printer, but all of this will work if you size your template down to 8x8 and go from there with your pictures and your die cut.I started by opening the template in Photoshop and clipping my pictures onto the photo layers. I then moved those … [Read more...]

Pocket Page Workflow
I live for my scrapping time. I love getting my hands messy with my physical supplies or staying "clean" and creating something in Photoshop . I get a jolt of joy each time I see a layout come together. When I first started pocket scrapping last year I assumed the process would be the same...full of joy. Yeah, it wasn't that joyful at first. I struggled with finding a pocket page workflow that worked for me. I could have gave up then, but I didn't. Soon after starting pocket pages I recognized the importance of capturing our everyday life. Back in February my two year old, who is behind on her speech, was pouring over the two measly pocket pages I had finished. I watched her to start pointing at pictures on the page and try to say our family members names. Towards the bottom of the page she came to a picture of her younger sister. She scrunched up her eyebrows and for the … [Read more...]
