What’s up, Pad Scrappers?Polly Liana here, super excited to introduce you to our newest M3 offering for December! For those of you new to the concept, M3 stands for Mixed Media Monthly. Every month, four of our most talented mixed media designers collaborate to create a huge kit of goodies. All the products are created using the same color palette and a few main words/concepts. For December, the words are Dents & Scratches (don't we all feel at least a little dented this year?) Let’s have a look at the main kit:And there’s MORE! Each designer is then able to create add-on kits that coordinate with the main kit. Because each designer has her own style and interests, the add-on kits vary as well. That way, you can decide what kinds of products you want to purchase to supplement the main kit. Here are some examples of the add-ons: I just love all the … [Read more...]

Introducing The Newest Polly: ArmyGrl
Each year, the-Lily Pad host a Month of Challenges(MOC). Hundreds of scrappers take on the challenge of making 31 pages, all the while being active in the gallery, and forums. One of those scrappers are chosen to become a creative team member also known as a Polly(wog). The MOC Eight 2020 Event winner is: ArmyGrl aka Lisa! Although she has been a member since September of 2012, getting to know her and her extreme talents is the subject of today's blog with a little question and answers:Tell us about the pm you received to become a Polly and your reaction!?Truth to told…the timing was 10,000% unexpected. I was like, uh-oh. What’d I do? Who did I offend? Who do I need to apologize to?After I read the message I was like…Oh, okay. A Matthew McConaughey Green Lights moment. You don’t say “no” to this. Green light. When did you begin working with digital manipulation (photos … [Read more...]
Mono-Texture in Photoshop
Hello and happy Wednesday! I am dropping in with another quick tip for you this week about adding texture to solid backgrounds. It is no secret that I love working on white digital backgrounds, but sometimes I want to add just a touch of texture to bump things up a notch. Take a look at this page (made with lots of goodies from today's SOSN sale): Notice the bump of texture from the stars in the background? It comes from clipping a solid paper (very close in color to the background paper) to the digital star stamps and then adding just a touch of a drop shadow. The stars on my page are part of the All the Stars template by Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs, but you can use any digital stamp to achieve this effect. Here are the drop shadow settings that I used: Here is a side by side comparison of the solid white background and … [Read more...]

Sparkle Up Your Gifts This Season: Hybrid Gift Tags
This holiday season, make your gifts look extra special and thoughtful with a lovely holiday gift tag! They are so easy to make, and don't require much time at all. Your digital scrapbooking supplies are perfect for this simple craft...and simple crafts are the best kind, especially during a busy holiday season. I decided to create my holiday gift tags as both standard one sided cards and as folded cards. Each style allows me space to write a heartfelt note, on the inside of the folded card or the back side of the flat card. This is a project that lends itself to so much creativity as you can customize the gift tags and cards to any occasion and personalize them to your recipient's style. You can also easily create dozens of tags and cards in one sitting, so that they are ready to use whenever needed! To create my gift tags and cards, I used the Cozy Winter Digital Scrapbooking Kit … [Read more...]
2020 Reflections
2020 has been quite a year, hasn't it? It is so important to be honest in our scrapbooking and that includes journaling about what a difficult year this has been. I'm sure many of us are documenting our very honest struggles through our scrapbook pages. But it also includes looking deeper and trying to find the positives even in the most difficult of circumstances or periods of time that we go through. That is exactly what Em is asking us to do in this month's Journaling Challenge.I was inspired by this challenge to create my own layout about my 2020 (positive) reflections and here is the page I created:When creating a layout that is focused on journaling, I like to start with writing my journaling first. That's exactly what I did with this layout, focusing on the most positive part of 2020 for our family, which is our time together. My family has spent a lot of time … [Read more...]
