Thanking those during this epidemic
My TV has been blaring with updates on this virus that has taken the entire world by surprise. It has made me realize that we are all far more connected than I ever thought. I am seeing that good things are still happening in our world despite all this chaos.May I suggest another good one? A thank you card. A thank you card to everyone you see serving - you could hand to them (ok, toss from 6 ft away lol) or email, mail or Facebook messenger if you know them personally. Be creative and think outside the norm!So many of us are blessed to just chill at home in order to stay safe during this outbreak but we need to be oh so grateful to those who are working in vital fields that keep our society functioning but leave them exposed. This is not only health care workers on the front line, but a ton of others such as: mail, Fed Ex, grocery store workers, pastors encouraging their flocks, … [Read more...]

Hello everyone! I hope you all are safe and healthy and finding your comfort zones to get through this historic period of time. We have such a supportive and amazing community here at TLP, that I can't help but smile every time I drop in (which is a lot). Today, I want to share a couple of ideas for using your creative energy to help ease the stress of the day. Expressing your feelings in an artistic way can be a huge release and calm some of the anxiety that I think we are all feeling right now. It started out as a fun way to keep my family on Facebook up to date without worrying about us here in the wild west of America. We are the land of social distancing on a normal day. This is our backyard, and the backyard of many here in my little town. If it isn't, you are a few miles from it:But still, family and friends in the metropolises around the world worry. This pandemic of the COVID-19 virus is affected life here, but not like in other places. I wanted to document it, but without fear. I have done week in the life, every day a page documenting everyday kind of moments, even to just hanging on the couch times. I did Day in the life, every hour, snapping photos and it was hilariously fun. When school was cancelled here late on the 13th of March, it got real. so, as a joke I posted on Facebook:Day ONE 3.14@12:03pm - Virus Pandemic 2020 - Boys cleaned … [Read more...]
