Hello everyone! I hope you all are safe and healthy and finding your comfort zones to get through this historic period of time. We have such a supportive and amazing community here at TLP, that I can’t help but smile every time I drop in (which is a lot). Today, I want to share a couple of ideas for using your creative energy to help ease the stress of the day. Expressing your feelings in an artistic way can be a huge release and calm some of the anxiety that I think we are all feeling right now. Sometimes you just need to release the stress from your body and pouring it onto a digital page (or traditional art page) is definitely one way to do that. Here is a page I recently created with this month’s amazing M3 collection and some kits in the Retirement Sale (click on layout for full credits):
I also find it helpful to create pages that focus my attention on the positive (click on layout for full credits):
Just the act of thinking about positive themes is helpful in shifting my mood away from the anxious and toward a feeling of hope for the future. There are lots of ideas in the TLP forum and on the Blog about documenting this historic time too – something that I think is very important for future generations to see.
Take (at least) a few moments each day to acknowledge that your feelings are valid and to try and focus on something positive (no matter how small). We are all in a social distancing mode right now, but that doesn’t mean that we have to cut ourselves off from friends. The TLP forum is a great place to escape the stress for a while and find a much needed creative distraction (and is 100% social distancing approved). I hope to see you there!
Until next time ~
Judie (HeyJude)
