Recipe Book by You
Yes, you can do it! Compile your own cookbook for you, by you. It is your book so you can pop in favorites from other books and get how you make it, in a book to keep or give as gifts. My mom long ago, compiled all the recipes that I would on a regular basis would call, "uhm mom, how do you make that lemon poke cake again?". She was always so patient on the calls, but her wheels were spinning, and she got it done. She typed them all out and added little clip art, then took a local printer to have them print and collate and put the neat little plastic binding clip to it. This book is thumbed thru and used all the time. I adore the book, and now, I get the calls from my kids, "Mom, how do you?".Searching the internet for HOW to Make Your Own Recipe Book have the same steps:HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN RECIPE BOOK, STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE Step 1: Collect the recipes. Mail Carrier Appreciation Day
Hello pad scrappers!!My husband recently sent me a note letting me know that next Tuesday, February 4, is Mail Carrier Appreciation Day. I have a family of letter writers. My husband and our kids love sending and receiving letters. So, we have a great appreciation for our mail carrier who faithfully brings those letters to our mail box.I made a quick card that we'll be handing to our mail carrier next Tuesday and thought I would share it with you today so you'll be inspired to thank your mail carrier as well.I used Postscript by One Little Bird Designs to create this card. I loved the little mailbox, envelopes and postage stamp elements!!I also loved the three little hearts on the "love always" stamp in the kit, but didn't really want to use that sentiment, so I'm going to show you how I incorporated those adorable hearts into the card.First I selected the … [Read more...]

Hello all my artsy friends! We are moving into the last week of MOC 8 and I hope everyone is ready to finish strong. :) I am just dropping in today with a quick tip for making digital frames in Photoshop when you cannot find what you need in a digital scrapbooking kit. For those of you who are still trying to complete the Day 3 - Crazy Number of Frames Challenge, this tip might come in handy - but it is also helpful for everyday digital scrapping too. This is my page for the Crazy Number of Frames Challenge: I used lots of frames from different kits and papers in the January 2020 BYOC collection, but I still needed a couple more to fulfill the challenge. Instead of searching through other kits to find frames, I decided to make some of my own. Step 1. To make your own digital frame, you first need a base shape. You can make a … [Read more...]

Do you want to build a snowman?
Do you want to build a snowman? If you don't get snow where you live like me, you can try this fun activity if you have young ones at home. *(also good for any Frozen 2 fans!)This recipe is VERY easy. Pour one cup of baking soda in a bowl and add in shaving cream slowly until you get the snow consistency that you like. *Use the white fluffy shaving cream not the gel kind. This snow recipe stays cool to the touch and has a power like feel when you touch it. So, if you're depressed like me for having nothing but a bunch of wet leaves around, just let it go (see what I did there) and try this! … [Read more...]
