Hello everyone! It’s Polly Karen here bringing you the Challenge Spotlight post for August. Once a month I have the privilege of looking through the challenge galleries to find just a few of my favorite layouts and shine my spotlight on them here. This month it is an extra privilege to bring you this post as our challenge Pollys created a very special batch of challenges to honor Dawn Inskip, a dear designer here at the Lilypad, who passed away unexpectedly last month. In order to honor our special, loving, sweet and highly creative friend, they geared almost all of this month's challenges with Dawn in mind.If you aren’t familiar with the challenges, here’s a little information about them to get you started. We offer 8 monthly challenges in the forum each month. If you play along with these challenges you can earn yourself a coupon to use on your next Lilypad shopping … [Read more...]

Do You Scrap in Chronological Order?
So this has been on my mind lately. Do you scrap in chronological order? Do you scrap in the order that events happen?I don’t usually scrap in chronological order. I tend to scrap whatever strikes my fancy at the time. I think that there are pros and cons to this method of scrapping. I like that I can scrap whatever speaks to me whenever, when I feel inspired to scrap something. If I try to stay in order, it seems more like a task than a hobby to me. At that point, it starts to become just one more thing that I am always trying to get done, and I don't need anything else on my to-do list! However, I know that by jumping around, I risk forgetting to scrap something, or losing a story. How can I be sure that I am getting all of the memories I want to scrap done? It creates a difficult situation for me to be in.So what do you do? Do you scrap in chronological order? Why … [Read more...]
