If you read the title of this post, I am well aware that you may be rolling your eyes at me. “Welcome Fall” you may be thinking…it’s still AUGUST! I know but today is the day that Starbucks begins offering their Pumpkin Spice Latte and to me that means one thing…it’s time to welcome fall!
Fall is one of my favorite seasons of the year. I love the beautiful colors, the smells of cinnamon, pumpkin spice and nutmeg, and the cozy feeling of dressing in layers.
So, while Fall is officially a few weeks away, I’m ready to welcome it with open arms! And I’m excited to be here with a list of five easy ways to welcome a little fall into your life and your home.
//ONE// Treat Yourself to a Cup of Coffee
Take some time to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee flavored by the tastes of fall. You may even want to treat yourself to a Pumpkin Spice Late today! I found a recipe for homemade pumpkin spice coffee creamer that you may want to try.
//TWO// Light a Candle
As I mentioned earlier, one of my favorite things about the fall season is the delightful smells. One of the easiest ways to welcome the Fall season into your home is to light a fall scented candle. You can bet, I’ll be burning my favorite candle in my home!
//THREE// Begin Decorating
I cannot wait to begin decorating my porch for the fall season. I’m making myself wait until after Labor Day, but it’s so hard!! In the meantime, I’ve been pinning a ton of ideas on Pinterest. My cute little scarecrows are ready to be released from the garage!
//FOUR// Bring on the Food
I absolutely love the traditional foods of fall!! In fact, I couldn’t wait any longer and made a delicious soup last weekend that my family enjoyed so much! So, let the baking and soup making begin. I ready for caramel, pumpkin spice and apples to make their way onto my dinner (and dessert) menus!
//FIVE// Scrap Those Fall Memories
Lastly, one of my favorite ways to welcome a new season is to scrap past memories of that season. When I’m ready to welcome fall, I’ll start looking back at photos taken in the fall months of previous years and begin scrapping them! I am absolutely giddy at the thought of seeing fall colors and themes start hitting the shop!
I’d love to hear what you do to welcome Fall!!
