Greetings and Salutations, Pad Scrappers!Polly Liana here, super excited to introduce you to our newest MPM for August. I know it's not August yet but we're overachievers here at the Lilypad. :). This month, the word is IMAGINE. It's soooo whimsical and magical. Here are the pocket cards from the main kit (there is a whole bunch more included): Adorable, right? Well, it gets better. After the main kit is released, the designers are able to release add-on kits that coordinate with the main kit so they all work together. Keep an eye on our store for more kits, soon. And it gets even better! It’s all on sale this … [Read more...]

Beginners Mixed Media: Using doodled elements
To some of us, there is nothing more nerve-wracking than attempting a scrapping style out of your comfort zone or more daunting than a blank canvas with infinite possibilities.(OK, yes, I’m talking about me personally but I’m sure this applies to others as well!)So in this blog series, I’m attempting to make Mixed Media less daunting by giving you (and me) some jumping off points. Digital Sketch Blending
Hello all my artsy friends! I am back with a tip for quickly masking an area on digital paper. Have you ever wanted to constrict a photo, sketch or digital paper to a particular area on your page? I was working with these amazing mixed media pages by Rachel Jefferies (available in today's SOSN sale) and wanted to add a back ground sketch in the gessoed area. The sketch was larger than that area so I needed a quick way to create a mask that would match the edges. I initially added the sketch to the page and then tried to create the mask by hand by painting over the areas of the sketch that went beyond the gessoed part of the background. This method works, but takes quite a bit of time to complete. Instead I decided to try the Magic Wand tool to create a quick selection of the gessoed area. This method was much faster and I was able to create a mask for the … [Read more...]
