Photo Display with Fall Photos and Journal Cards
Hello pad scrappers!!Today I am excited to share with you a photo display project for fall that I absolutely love!! In front of my desk where I scrapbook I have a empty frame with wire and photo clips for hanging photos. I decided this would be the perfect spot to display seasonal photos and some journal cards.I created some polaroid sized photo frames in Photoshop by opening a 4x6 sized document, dividing it in half and placing a square clipping mask on each half. I selected a slightly textured white background paper on this and clipped fall photos of my family in the square opening.I then printed these out and cut in half using a paper trimmer. In a similar way, I printed two 3x4 journal cards from All September Colors by Little Butterfly Wings on a 4x6 sized document. I also created one journal card myself using elements from the All September Colors … [Read more...]

Template Tuesday | September 2021 Challenge
Hello pad scrappers!!! I'm thrilled to be back with you again for a Template Tuesday post using the September monthly challenge template.I love the monthly template challenges so much!! The designers always provide incredible templates that are available to use for FREE! This month's template was provided by Sara Gleason and it's a super versatile template to work with!I chose to use a 4x6 landscape oriented photo instead of the 3x4 sized portrait oriented photo spot in the template. Replacing this photo spot with my own photo and adding a stroke around it was my first step in working with this template.Next I replaced the "details" journal card with a journal card of my choosing. I also deleted the tags and labels that were included in the template. Then I completed the layout by adding papers and elements of my choosing to compliment the theme of my layout … [Read more...]
Journaling Directly on an Enlarged Photo
Hello pad scrappers!!!I am so happy to be back with you blogging again! Since the last time I blogged here, my family moved from Virginia in the US to Germany! It has been quite the summer adjusting to living in a new country and waiting on our household goods and car to arrive! Now that we are a bit more settled, I am thrilled to be scrapping my photos and memories again! One of my favorite parts about living here is a walk I have been taking every morning through the woods near our home to a large park. It is a beautiful walk, especially as fall is getting closer and the leaves are starting to change.Today I scrapped a layout using a photo I took on one of my walks. I wanted this photo to be the central part of my layout, so I chose to enlarge the photo and used a blending mode to get just the right effect.I decided to type out my journaling directly on the photo … [Read more...]
