Hello pad scrappers!!!
I am so happy to be back with you blogging again! Since the last time I blogged here, my family moved from Virginia in the US to Germany! It has been quite the summer adjusting to living in a new country and waiting on our household goods and car to arrive!
Now that we are a bit more settled, I am thrilled to be scrapping my photos and memories again!
One of my favorite parts about living here is a walk I have been taking every morning through the woods near our home to a large park. It is a beautiful walk, especially as fall is getting closer and the leaves are starting to change.
Today I scrapped a layout using a photo I took on one of my walks. I wanted this photo to be the central part of my layout, so I chose to enlarge the photo and used a blending mode to get just the right effect.
I decided to type out my journaling directly on the photo in some white space near the bottom left corner. I typed it out in a white scripted font to make it stand out even more.
Along with the journaling I decided to only add a few minimal elements to compliment the photo and help tell the story of my love for this walk. The elements I used were from the Memory Pockets Monthly Stories collection.
Journaling directly on an enlarged photo is a fantastic way to have your photo and story take center stage on your layout. If you haven’t tried this technique, I encourage you to give it a try!
