New MPM and Retirement Sale!
Hi Pad Scrappers!Polly Liana here, happy to introduce you to the newest MPM collection. For those who are new to the concept, MPM stands for Memory Pockets Monthly. It’s a wonderful monthly collection that’s perfect for those scrappers who love to work with pockets and journal cards. Each collection is created by some of our most talented pocket card designers (this month it’s Valorie Wibbens, Sara Gleason, Elif Sahin Designs, Designed by Soco, Mommyish and Allison Pennington). They work with the same color palette so all of their designs coordinate, and they are inspired by one key word. This month’s word is BREATHE. The main kit has plenty of bright, springy colors and concepts. Let’s check it out:After the main kit is released, the designers then create add-on kits that coordinate with the main kit but allow the designer to pursue her own individual style. There … [Read more...]
Creating a Simple Journaling Layout
Hello pad scrappers!!I love to journal and I'm trying to put more of my thoughts and journaling down on scrapbook layouts. Today I'm going to share with you some of my techniques for creating a simple journaling layout. The first tip I'm going to share is to have a variety of places to choose journaling prompts from, and create a habit of just writing. I love using the Day One app. It is a journaling app for IOS devices that makes journaling your life so simple! It has the ability to pull in social media posts, but what I'm really enjoying is the daily writing prompts. I created the layout above using one of those daily prompts. The prompts was "What are the most important things needed to live a good life?". I typed my answer to that question out in the app on my iPhone. Then when I was ready to create a journaling layout, I just pulled it up from there.I gravitate … [Read more...]

Word Art Stories
Hello all my artsy friends! I am dropping in today with a fun tip for creating a story with Word Art. I don't know about you but I am not a journaler (at least not on my digital pages). I love telling stories with photos, design and title work. Today I have a sample of a page with a story constructed with word art. Notice how the page tells a story of coffee, quiet times, reflection and rejuvenation. I don't have one word of written journaling, just carefully chosen word art that tells my story while leading your eye from the top to the bottom of the page. I also included a cropped journaling card that added to my story. What are your favorite non-journaling methods to add stories to your pages? Make sure to share them with us in the comments! Until next time ~Judie (HeyJude) … [Read more...]
