Simply Hybrid: Match Box
Hi everyone, Sarah here and I'm so excited to share with you my latest hybrid project. Since it's almost December I thought it'd be fun to create a gift box perfect for the littlest of presents. For this project I used Santa's Workshop by Sahlin Studio. I fell in love with the bright colorful elements included in this kit and knew it would be perfect.I started with a matchbox. This particular one I cut out using my Silhouette Portrait, but you could always buy premade blank matchboxes from a craft store, or use this as an opportunity to reuse an actual matchbox once you've used all the matches. The first step is to wrap the outer sleeve of the matchbox with your favorite printed digi paper. Gallery Goodness
There is something about The Lilypad Gallery that just gets my creative juices flowing. If you are ever in a Scrapping Slump, like we all experience once in a while, this is a great way to get out of it! I've been hanging out there recently and wanted to show you some of the variety you will see there. You are bound to be inspired! This page by bjc is graphic in nature. The angles are strong and the white background makes the black and white photos really stand out. I also love the arrows and that pop of red. How adorable is that? It's a contrast of hard lines and a squishy subject. I just love it.This pocket page from Ink & Pixels is a feast for the eyes. She got so many awesome photos on this one page and still managed to decorate it beautifully... well, you know what I mean. EEK.This page has such a hand drawn feel to it, it's hard to believe it's … [Read more...]
