Have you ever been booed? Its a fun Halloween tradition that I have done with my kids for over 12 years. It’s so much fun and the kids all get to be fast little ninjas for the night! I have lived in at least 4 different neighborhoods in the past 15 years and it seems I am always the one to have to start this tradition each time. Come on people won’t you join me here.
I refused to let my neighbor’s lack of fun dampen my spirits. Not gonna happen man. So, to start the You’ve Been Booed tradition in your hood, you’ll need a few printables to get you started. Lucky for you, I made some here.
I doubled the ‘we’ve been booed’ printable so you can cut it in half. It saves ink! :)
A big shout out to Gina Miller for the digi supplies. I used Elm Street
It’s such a cute kit!
To get started – first, I have my kids come up with a list of their friends they want to Boo. I usually have to reign them in and keep the number to less than 10. I usually get some simple colorful bags or even a big candy bowl at the dollar section. I put in fun stuff like glow sticks, candy, spider rings – you get the drift. I always have the kids help with putting the bags together. Why? Because I’m a big believer in child labor. Duh.
After the bags are assembled, add in your ‘You’ve been Booed’ printable along with the ‘We’ve been Booed’ sign. You can change it up and make the design bigger or smaller – place in a card or other fantastic item. I can’t wait to see what yall come up with!
After all the bags have been assembled, load up the car and assign each kid which house they get to deliver (ring & run) the treats to. Remember, don’t get caught – that’s half the fun!
p.s. There’s a hilarious ‘adult’ version of this tradition where you can secretly deliver treats to other adults – its called ‘You’ve been Boozed’. I can not confirm nor deny if I have ever participated. :)
