Fall is officially upon us. September is nearly over. If you are like me, this means you have embraced the new school year routine and are settling into the busy pace this time of year demands. We like to try and stay organized here at my house. I am a big list maker and planner. But Making lists, staying organized and sticking to schedules doesn’t have to be boring!
How many of you look to your ever expanding digi stash to create beautiful things outside of scrapbook layouts? I have to admit, I do not do it often enough. So, a few of us Creative Team members, for Lynne-Marie, put our heads together and created some fun organizational-friendly printables for school and life in general. Let’s take a look:
Karen loves to read and created the most adorable little bookmarks with the Evergreen collection. These would be darling for little beginning readers, adults and everyone in between! I love the little track marks she scattered across the bookmarks. So sweet.
Gaelle likes to stay organized with schedules, so she created an English & a French version with the Hoot and IQ (Intelligence Quotient) collections. These are great for keeping track of busy routines if you are a mom, and also perfect for teachers and students alike. Along with the printable PDFs, she even included a PSD file so you can customize the schedule yourself.
Here is what Gaelle has to say about her project:
With every new school year, especially as a teacher, comes a new schedule, and this year I wanted to have something amazing and original (fed up with the impersonal excel grid). So I made a template with the kits “IQ Intelligence Quotient” and “Hoot !” by Lynne-Marie. Each time slot of the grid can be customized. You can also choose between French and English. My kids love my new schedule.
Here’s a sample of how Gaelle uses her schedule to keep track of her school day as a teacher.
I used all three collections, Evergreen, Hoot and IQ (Intelligence Quotient), to create some printable labels and lunch box notes, because my daughter is forever losing her things at school and she still favors a homemade lunch (made by mom) over the school cafeteria choices.
We have a long tradition of writing notes back and forth, during lunch, that started before she could even spell properly. (I even have a few of her early notes saved and displayed in my office above my computer!)
The notebook and binder labels would be great printed on sticker paper (available in office supply stores). The other labels could be printed on fabric/canvas type paper (available in most craft stores) and then sewn into the backpacks or lunch totes. You can pop the PDF into PS or PSE and type in names and phone numbers (on a new layer), if you wish or simply print them out and write in your information with a good old sharpie!
Here are some of the ways I use these labels:
These fun printables are all available for you to download as a free gift. Simply click on the image to add this freebie to your cart.
