The old photos are all photographed (via phone), arranged and ready to be made into pages of pure memories. Scrapping with old photos can be a bit tricky. They are not high resolutions usually and many times they can have damage. Many times there is a haze to the photographs, and one of our talented Pollys Christa has a great tutorial here!
I have a few favorites to help me get a book done quickly and perfectly, these full page templates (love the Messy Pockets by Lynn Grieveson)
for this page I chose:
The fades and photo filters and mask details of the photo areas are perfect for older photos that have been digitized.
Photo edit:
I use first ALWAYS do
IMAGE>AUTO COLOR
And then IMAGE>brighten and contrast.
HINT: find a common color and use your IMAGE>ADJUSTMENT>PHOTO FILTER to achieve a cohesive coloring to the photos.
and here is the page, printed and in the book! This makes my heart so happy!
Sometimes no template or product is needed (gasp-but it is true) We can scrap with what has been saved. I am so grateful to the treasure trove of extra things my mom held onto:
I photographed them and then added one photo also photographed (with my phone). Add shadows and a memory is reborn to be loved by the one you made it for:
My book arrived on Friday, the 18th of September. I made this book for my mom. We lost my baby brother 5 years ago, and last year my precious Dad passed. She has picked up and left her home to live in my town, away from the life she lived in for over 45 years. I can not return her son and husband, but with scrapping, I can help her relive her memories:
One of the greatest compliments from my mom came after she wiped the tears. Thank you, I feel like I am right there all over again and I loved being there.
Don’t let your photos remain in a box. Take them out and start organizing and get them photographed. Make the pages, and the memories live again for those who are alive and will love them all over again.
