Template Tuesday: Mix and Match
Hello again, Polly Stefanie here with a layout I created about the loss of my daughter. I wanted to create her name as the focal point, an eye catching title, and so I used Scrapping with Liz : Recap 2023 Template Bundle to do so.I used the S from September, the A from August, the R and H from March. I also duplicated the little stitched sections to visually attach the paper pieces for all the letters. While I know that this was not the original intention of the designer, I am delighted with the end result and it shows the versatility of Liz's template packs.I hope this inspires you to use bits from at least tow different templates and create something different from the original design. I love this creativity of this hobby. … [Read more...]

Hello again, Polly Stefanie here with another step by step usage of a template for you.I started with this template by Scrapping with Liz: Christmas NotesI started with the photo and some paper layers.Next I added some elements and dimensional goodies, I like to shadow as I go. I used One Little Bird's shadow styles.I decided that I wanted some differentiation between the background and the paper layers, so I added some painty goodness and stamps.I am really happy with the festive feel of this and I hope it inspires you to play with your stash products and create something beautiful. … [Read more...]
Seasonal Inspiration: 10 Sparkly Season pages!
'Tis the season to be sparkly! Whether it's glowing lights on a tree, flickering candles in a holder, glittery outfits, or the magic of snow or sparklers on New Year's Eve, this time of year often has both sparkle in photos and on the page! Here's some of the photo op's and methods of working with digital sparkle!Maybe all you need is minimal sparkle to be striking? Both soft and sharp photography works this time of year to focus on details and convey the ambience. You might want to add extra magic with bokeh? (The blurred light effect shown on the tree above). You can do this either in-camera while you are setting up the shot by using a shallow depth of field (either with a low f-stop value or if your phone has a 'portrait mode' that can help achieve the same effect), or you can add bokeh after the fact with a photoshop tool or overlay from the … [Read more...]
Template Tuesday : Step by step
Hello there, Polly Stefanie here with a template of Anita Design's called Winds of change, that I used as a starting point for my layout.I started with my photos and clipped papers into their respective spots within the template. Then I added some brownish flowers, alternating them to the left and right of the photo series. And I added the cute Elf and Christmas tree with some word art to visually ground them on the layout. And lastly I added the title, journaling and a doily bit on the left of the layout to bring the eye into the layout from the left hand side, as we like to look from left to right.I hope that this inspires you a little to add a little (or a lot) to any given template. … [Read more...]
