Greetings, Pad Scrappers!Polly Liana here, over the moon with excitement because I get to introduce you to a new MPM collection. For those who are new to the concept, MPM stands for Memory Pockets Monthly. It’s a wonderful monthly collection that’s perfect for those scrappers who love to work with pockets and journal cards. Each collection is created by some of our most talented pocket card designers (this month it’s Sara Gleason, Becca Bonneville, Designed by Soco, Rachel Jefferies, Mommyish and Allison Pennington). They work with the same color palette so all of their designs coordinate, and they are inspired by one key word. This month’s word is STELLAR. The main kit has bright colors and a beautiful deep blue for those cool summer twilight times. Let’s check it out:Have you got stars in your eyes? Well guess what?? It’s all on sale right now! This weekend they … [Read more...]

SOSN Stash Mash – June 28, 2023
Hi there, if you are a regular visitor to the TLP Blog, you might remember the Monday Mash-up Series from last year, where we looked at strategies to step outside the ‘one kit only’ scrapping box to increase your confidence in mixing and matching and ability to stretch your stash. (And if you didn’t see any of them, you are forgiven LOL and the good news is you can still access them). Anyway, with all those lessons up our sleeves, this year I’m introducing the SOSN Stash Mash!Every Wednesday when TLP Designers put a selection of goodies on sale at half price (here’s a link to this week’s specials category), I’m reminded of some specific treasures I have in my stash and feel inspired to pull them out from the depths of my harddrive again. And I know now that I can find a few kits among that day’s selection that will work perfectly together to tell my stories and support and enhance my … [Read more...]
Thoughtful Thursday: Two by Two
Hello again, Polly Stefanie here with some layouts to inspire you to get creative with two photos. I am usually a more is more kind of girl, when I started scrapbooking I used to pile photos on to the page, make sure the story was told and product usage took a backseat. Now that I am all digital I pile the goodies on with no fear t6hat I will use them up or that my pages will be too fat for the album.I love the idea of only using two photos, you can showcase two different view points, you can take one of the people and one of the place, you can take one close-up and one from further out.So many possibilities. Here are some of my recent layouts using just two photos. Images are linked to the gallery for credits. This layout features the view from my kitchen window outside and the little one, my view of our daughter hard at work on the inside of the house.A large … [Read more...]
Beginners Mixed Media: Mesmerizing Marble!
After over a year now of both digital mixed media experimentation here on the blog and looking at home renovation inspiration images and samples for tiles and benchtops in real life, today I'm bringing in the marbled look to my digi layout. (Inspiration is everywhere, right?!). Marbling is a fun technique to create your own paper and paper -based elements in paper crafting.I remember making 'marbled prints' for art when I was in school, using a container full of water with some oily drops of coloured dye or ink floating on the surface, mix with a toothpick to create a swirled pattern and then lay some thick plain white paper over the top to absorb the marble magic, and voila! (You can also apparently use shaving cream, milk or other substances to hold your coloured pigments of varying kinds (Google has lots of how-to links) and the marbled effect is fun surprise every time). In … [Read more...]
