Hello everyone! Polly Karen here, bringing you the monthly Challenge Spotlight post for June. Once a month I have the privilege of looking through the challenge galleries to find just a few of my favorite layouts and shine my spotlight on them here.If you aren’t familiar with the challenges, here’s a little information about them to get you started. You will earn as follows: 2 challenges = 10% off, 4 challenges = 20% off and 6 challenges = 30% off. Also, if you finish at least 7 challenges, in addition to your coupon, you will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a guest spot on the Creative Team (be a Polly) for a month! Welcome, July M3!
Howdy Pad Scrappers!Polly Liana here, delighted to introduce you to our Mixed Media Monthly (M3) offering for July. I love to introduce this fab collection each month because art journaling has always been something that I’ve admired from afar but never thought I’d actually try. I've always admired the very talented folks at the Pad who can dream up the most lovely creations using mixed media. If, like me you’re interested in dabbling in mixed media, or even if you’ve been creating it for years, this collection is for you. Each month, some of our most talented mixed media designers (Paula Kesselring, Nancie-Rowe Janitz, Lynne-Marie & Little Butterfly Wings) collaborate on a main kit and several coordinated add-ons that can be used together to easily create art journaling that can even make someone like me look like I (kind of) know what I’m doing. This month, the kit features … [Read more...]
Planner Love: Plan with Me Video
Hi everyone, Sarah here, and today I'm here to share more planner goodness with you all. This time in video form! In August 2015 I shared some planner pages here on the blog and talked about how I created the stickers and laid out my pages. Today I've done the same but in video format. To see my original blog post click here. For today's pages I used the main kit from the Mixed Media Monthly June 2016 collection. The entire collection is amazing and would be for fantastic if you wanted to print even more coordinating planner stickers! Here is the video that I recorded talking about my planner page process. For some reason the video cut off about 15 seconds before I finished talking but all of the planning fun is included. I hope you enjoy!https://vimeo.com/175371056Let me know if there are any other planner related videos you would like to … [Read more...]
Rainbows for Lunch!
Hi Happy Pad Scrappers!Polly Liana here, with a quick fun summer treat for kids (and fun adults like you!). Last week, when my daughters asked what we were having for lunch, I told them RAINBOWS! They got this funny look of disbelief mixed with joy--like when kids deal with Mary Poppins. When we arrived home, I had prepared small bits of fruits, veggies and protein for them, along with wooden skewers. The six-year-old was eager to get started because she knew the order of rainbow colors but the three-year-old needed some reminders about the names for the colors of each item. After we went over all the different colors of the foods, we sorted them by color. Then, starting with the purple grape, we carefully slid each food on to the skewer. It was fun to watch them create a reverse rainbow (for it to be red on the top, things need to be skewered in reverse order). It … [Read more...]
Mobile Highlights: July
Every time I come to write another Mobile Highlights post, I can't believe another month has gone by! Time just seems to be slipping through my fingers! Make it stop. Anyhow, here are this month's picks for Mobile Highlights. This first layout by lormw uses one trick that I always love to create movement on the page. With the photo going off the edge of the page, it creates a movement across the middle of the page, and adds to the realism of the layout.I love the fun look of this layout by staciahall! The combination of colors and the use of the background paper really support the topic she is scrapping. Plus, how great is that little newspaper boat at the bottom? Awesome! There is a lot to like in this layout by justine_bellbird. There's a lot of words and other things going on, but it's not overwhelming at all. The photo has a great shadowing on it, to make it look as … [Read more...]
