Hi Everyone! It's Liana here and I'm so excited to share the newest products at the Lilypad for Froggy Friday.First up, a delightful kit from Valorie Wibbens called "For the Record." With its organic tones and pops of color, it's a great to use when you're telling the real story. Valorie teamed up with Amy Martin to create "My 123s". It's a colorful, fun way to practice counting and writing numerals from 0-20, with two sets of 4x6 cards. Aching for more? They're also offering an add-on kit.Lauren Grier has two offerings this week, the first being "Simply Fall." It's an elegant, cool kit with mellow colors and a great variety of elements. 5 hybrid scrapbooking tips
Hi, it's guest Hybrid Polly Sharon (aka skyezak) here with a few tips for those of you that might be considering dabbling in the world hybrid scrapbooking. If you're a pure digital scrapbooker, you might wonder why you'd want to get all messy and have clutter, glue, scissors and what-not across your desk (come on...it's really part of the fun)! If you've come from a traditional paper scrapbooking background, then it might be a lot less daunting to get into hybrid, but you might also be wondering why do it as well? People who I've shown my digital layouts to that have no idea what digital is all about say they love my layouts but they need to do the lumpy, bumpy schtuff...half the fun is cutting and pasting your page together they say. They don't really like the look of a flat page. Well it is fun getting down and dirty with your glue and scissors, but digital scrapbooking does offer the … [Read more...]
SOSN: Layout Makeovers
The post you've all been waiting for! Or at least, I've been waiting for. I challenged the Pollys to choose one of their old layouts and remake it, using the same or new product. I won't babble on today, let's just get to the good stuff and see what magic the Pollys have worked on their old layouts!First up, one of TLP's designers joined in the fun! Heather shared this old layout:And she refashioned it into this super-cute layout (I love the photo-strip styling and how the story takes center stage!):Next up is Christine, with two beautiful versions of a layout from her son's baby album. Both are lovely, but I especially like the focus on the name and the story in the second one. And how cute are those little pinned-up embellishments on the branch?Angie was gracious enough to let us all see this colorful (and completely unshadowed!) layout using retired Lauren Grier products … [Read more...]

Oh my! Fall is knocking at the door... let him in I say, let him in! With fall comes a multitude of gorgeous things and tasty treats and, for whatever reason, as fall approaches this year I am obsessed with apples... especially candy apples! For many of us, fall means the coming of the State Fair... which means (to me) CANDY APPLES!If any of you know me (Polly Jen here, by the way) then you know I can't just leave well enough alone. A candy apple is great.... but a creative one is so much better! That is exactly what I've been eyeing over on Pinterest.... along with about a billion other apple delights! My sudden apple craze has led me in many different directions but I wanted to share a few of my faves with you! There is a plethora of apple-y goodness right here at TLP!First off... let me point you to an article that craft guru, Kari, wrote at MSA this month. In it she walks … [Read more...]

Back to School Gifts
It is that time of the year where you aren’t thinking about popsicles, swimming in the pool, or even sleeping in anymore. Gears have changed and we can’t stop thinking about pencils, notebooks, backpacks, sack lunches, and just how well our kiddos are going to do in their new classes. I find the beginning of the year can be a bit overwhelming for everyone; parents, kiddos, and teachers. To ease this burden a little bit I’ve come up with a few first day of school traditions. The two traditions I’m going to show you today are fun little hybrid gifts, one for your kiddo{s} and one for their teacher{s}.For the kiddo’s it is a first day of school survival kit. I have given one of these to my daughter each year since she began school. It is a fun little gift she looks forward to, and helps her get excited about the school year. One cool thing about this gift is that even if school has … [Read more...]
