Hello pad scrappers! I’m Kitty (KittyY) and new Polly to the pad :) Since most of you don’t know me, I need to warn you, I’m quirky and very southern. You will see many southern words sprinkled through my writings. If that bothers you, bless.
Today I want to give a big shout out to my favorite season – Fall. I live in GA, so I love having all 4 seasons, but Fall wins them all in my book. Summer brings us the beach and those cute rompers that I can’t wear, but it also brings me sweat. And not the good – I’m gonna be a size smaller kind. The ugly mustache sweat. So – see ya summer. Spring – I have 2 words for it – Ahh Choo. The end. Winter – let’s be like Frozen and let it go. I hate the cold. So, Fall – I love thee. Let me count thy ways!
I was inspired by all those Huffington Post lists – you know the ones, the top 5 reasons to do this or that. They always draw me in. I’m such a sucker. So I composed a list of the main reasons I love Fall and if I were running for President, this would be a part of my platform. ;)
Why Fall should be the boss of all the seasons
1) comfy clothes – hello there yoga pants my old friend. When there is a chill in the air, comfy clothes just seem to enter my world. Right? And what about those sweaters or sweatshirts that just seem to swallow you up – oh deeeevine!
2) the changing leaves & crisp air – I swear, I just breathe better this time of year.
3) The foods – caramel apples, fair foods and pumpkin spiced anything you desire – I don’t dig the pumpkin lattes like every one else, but yall – I make the world’s greatest Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins. Soups – bless my crockpot’s heart, I wear it out. I make soup at least twice a week – it feels like you’re eating a hug. Fairs – oh the fooood!! Being from Texas, I really miss the fair. I’m the corn dog whisperer.
4) its boot season – Thank you Nancy Sinatra! I wear them with everything (except yoga pants). I love them – they can hide my legs that are turning paler as the breeze blows and they can make a pair of jeans look fabulous!
5) garage sales & fairs – ok, so confession time, this is my jam. I am so addicted to garage sales it’s not even funny. Yall would not believe my deals – my kids are clothed well from these endeavors. Fairs – I just love the whole environment.
6) my birthday (I just threw that one in to see if you were still reading)
7) TV – the fall line up (shout out to those of us waiting for Scandal!)
8) football – ok, I don’t like it. No…I loathe it BUT I do love the way my husband’s face lights up and frankly, if he’s busy watching, he doesn’t miss me while I’m scrapbooking. My evil plan is coming along nicely.
9. Halloween – hello?!!
10. I LOVE Thanksgiving – but…..I cringe when I see all those ‘I’m thankful for’ daily posts by my facebook friends. Please tell me I’m not alone here. I’m a very thankful person – but everyone says the same thing and lets be real, how many of those people mean it? Ha! Gosh I sound so jaded man. I just want to write – I’M THANKFUL FOR: Thanksgiving and I get to wear all my ‘fat pants’ and eating 7pds of turkey is socially acceptable.
Fall for the win! I scrapped one of my favorite fall pictures of my younger 3 kids (did I mention I have 6?)
Products used:
Etc! Climbing Trees and Falling Leaves
Looking forward to seeing many Fall layouts in the gallery!
p.s. if you’re ever in GA, let me know & I can slip you one of my awesome muffins.

Hello, Kitty! Nice to meet you. Loved reading your blog post, but I have to laugh when people from the south talk about winter! lol! I would love to have a southern winter and for that reason, I’m really looking forward to retirement when we move south and then I can talk about my southern winter, too.
