Hi all, Sarah here with another fun planner project.
This month I decided to take the Planner Collection Monthly: Love Letters products and create some fun seasonal inserts for my travelers notebook.
I began by creating an 8″x8″ canvas in my scrapping software to create the covers of each notebook. For this first one I took one of the personal size planner pages from the main kit and and placed it on the right half of the canvas, making sure the edge lined up with the center and that the tab was outside of my canvas. I then picked a paper from the Love Letters Patterns and Backgrounds by Allison Pennington to place on the left side of the canvas. I printed this onto an 8.5″x11″ sheet of cardstock and trimmed to size. I chose to include a grid paper inside this notebook insert which I colored pink to match the collection. I used ten sheets, printed double sided, also trimmed to 8″x8″.
For this next notebook I started in the same manner, lining the personal size planner page to the center of the page. I then overlapped the paper, also from Love Letters Patterns and Backgrounds by Allison Pennington, so that it would wrap around to the front cover. For this notebook insert I chose to use plain copy paper.
The last notebook was created by lining up two different papers from Little Butterfly Wing’s Love Letters Papers Add On to the center of the paper. I chose to create a lined paper for this insert, this time colored yellow.
After I printed and trimmed all of the covers and papers I then folded each one in half individually, which allows for a crisper edge on each paper. If you own a bone folder that will give you an even crisper edge.
I then nested the papers inside of each notebook’s cover and stapled the spine.
Here are all three notebooks. I’m considering making a paper notebook out of the collection similar to the refillable notebook I blogged about last summer. How cute would that be?
I also print and cut a few of the sticker elements onto cardstock. I will be using these cutouts to decorate my notebooks. Using a file from the Silhouette store I created this cute envelope using one of the papers from the Little Butterfly Wings paper add on and a couple of layered full box stickers from the main collection to store them in.
I’m looking forward to using these notebook inserts to jot down notes and record my daily happenings throughout the month of February. I love the colorful images and papers that are included in the collection so it will be a joy to pull these notebooks out and use them each day.
