Boredom Busters for the Kids
Thirteen days! My kids have been home from school for 13 days! I love them, I do, I do, but sometimes they need structure, like a building structure called school! Anne of Alamo here, mom of many, and I want to help you have fun and beat the boredom that creeps in after the presents have been opened and the excitement of Christmas dwindles away. In our home, every 6 months we change rooms. Everything comes out, and it is clean, clean cleaned! That is usually a two day event of pure exhaustion. I love the results and it really does keep the kids out of boredom, as old toys become new and just laying on the bed in a new room is fun:For some it takes a bit longer (teen girls)but eventually it all gets sorted out, and boredom strikes again. How about you do mom's hair? How about we don't do that again! yikesYou know boredom has hit when your youngest just sits and watches … [Read more...]

Polly Picks: AmberR
It's Polly Pick Time again and today we are going to get to know AmberR's style. Amber's gallery is so fun to look at. Seriously, it's like a visual feast. Bright. Colorful. Full of life. I just love her style. She uses a lot of blending and techniques that are tough for me, but she makes it all look flawless. And she is a master with paints, stamps and textures. She is grungy and can take any template and give it her own twist. She knows how to work with dimensional products like a pro, but adds in some artistic flavors are quite unique and stunning. It's like Paper Scrapper meets Art Journaler. It's fabulous. Really!Take a look at some of her Picks in the store. Right now you can browse this category and grab some of the things that help make Amber's style so special for 20% off. Here's how Amber describes her style:I started as a very traditional scrapper.
