Snapping pictures of my children is a huge passion in my life, but let’s be honest – sometimes they get tired of it and sometimes I get tired of the same old poses/pictures. One way to add variety to your pictures is to try looking at your subject with a new perspective.
For example, you could get underneath them to snap a picture.
You can get down on their level (I usually lay on the floor) to get a unique perspective. Both of the following pictures were completely unposed. They were on the floor, and I just joined them in order to capture a sweet picture, but it’s certainly a great idea to pose them this way as well.
My favorite perspective is to simply stand (nearly on top of them!) and snap away. This is the best way to get a great shot of their beautiful eyes.
Or if you want to really take a picture from above, find a ladder or deck and snap away. In this shot, my kiddos were playing outside under the deck, and I happened to see them, grabbed my camera and asked them to lay down on the gravel. They thought this was very silly, and I snapped this picture as soon as they were down while they were still giggling.
Would you like to join me in finding a new perspective with your camera? Take a picture, link me up in the comment section by Saturday, March 27, and my favorite shot will win a $5 gift card to the store!
