January 31: Then + Now (the last day!!)

My Then and Now is comparing my professional life from 2011 to now. Now I am off to finish the challenges from Days 29 and 30 - life its too busy! MOC is lots of fun, but I am somewhat relieved to be nearly done!
I had to edit the layout a bit to make sure then and now were clear in the journaling - not sure this is updating correctly, but it is correct in the gallery.

My page for the last day!!! This page took forever because first I had to find the photos from 2008 and then I got hung up on the internet reading more about this historic structure. It's sooooo fascinating, too much to include on my page even though the journaling is 254 words! I even bought a book so now I'll learn more about this area of Columbus Ohio!! (To be obvious that I met one of the requirements, I put the words "then" and "now" in red within the journaling on my layout as well as in this post - VBG).

Journaling:
'The first photo was taken back in 2015, you were riding around in the street and we were all laughing and having fun! We were at your Grama Iva's and it was such a nice day out! I remember that Aunt Tonya came to visit also, Willow was walking then and chasing you as you were riding your bike. Back then I got to see you every time I came down to Cali & I'd stay the weekend at your house. I got to see you in March last year when Aunt Chelsea, Lala, Doodles and I came down for a week. We got the 'now' pic of you from Danyel around Christmas, you are growing up so fast and are such a beauty! We love and miss you tons, sweetie, I do hope you know that. I look for new pics of you on FB, but I rarely see a recent one, I cherish the ones I have.'

LAURA! Make them be little again!! Here's a photo from the last nine years taken on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day each of these years.

Journaling is 172 words.

I really wanted to finish today - on the last day. Sadly, I got a late start and have a headache - so tomorrow it is. Love this challenge and can't wait to get it done. I've been planning my page in my head all day. Maybe I'm just trying to prolong the fun...I will miss this everyday!! At least Feb. challenges will be posted tomorrow :)!

Journaling reads:
"Then" was a total dumb whatever
frustrating moment in time
when I broke my foot just walking
downstairs, carrying laundry. I could not believe it!
In fact, I was in such denial that I
walked on the blasted thing for 3 months. Not
the best way to heal. I finally decided it had been
hurting for much too long and went to a podiatrist.
Sure enough, broken, and not healing well. So, into
the boot I went to hopefully stop any further damage.
I got to have this beauty on for more months until
I got fed up and decided what done is done. This past
summer, I realized as I was backpacking, that my foot
did not hurt! Only two years of healing to get back
to where I did not feel or think about the pain. Now
on to bigger and better things! And no more stairs? ha

Apparently, I take a lot of pictures. I have a picture almost every day of her life. Missing like 11 days but 4 of those I was in the hospital.
