January 31: Then + Now (the last day!!)

Awesome!Tomorrow! I just have a few to do. :) Getting there! Thursdays are my new scrapping day this year, no work (at least not until 3:30)! Woo hoo!

To add to your comments above, this is my first ever MOC and the end of my first month of TLP and I've loved it! Thanks for all the positive comments and likes of my pages, for the challenges and the stretching! So many of these challenges I've never done before and were way out of my comfort zone. You girls are awesome. I've no idea how I've never found you before as I've been digi scrapping for years, but I have found you now! I LOVE digi scrapping! Thanks to all the admins and Pollys, you girls rock! <3 to you all! :)

Ditto! What she said....

Day 31 Then and now

Journaling;
In 2004 we went camping for the first time with our new mobile home at Camping La Sousta in Remoulin, in the south of France. That would be the first holiday of many that we would spend at this campsite. During our stay our daughter, then 12 years old, met a girlfriend. 5 years in a row we went back to the same campsite because our daughter enjoyed it so much and every year she met her girlfriend there again. The girls were inseparable and they stay with each other over and over again in their own tents. When our daughter was 17 years old and did not want to go on holiday with us anymore because she wanted to go with her friends, the friendship remained. The ladies went to study but saw each other regularly and went on holiday together several times. In 2017 they went together to New York for 7 days. This is where the last picture was taken. And now they are already making new holiday plans for this summer.

Thanks for the great challenge, Laura. I've never been able to figure out how to scrap the photo booth pic properly because it's so tiny and not high-res. This ended up being perfect.

JOURNALING (171 words):
It’s so hard to believe that it is almost 9 years to the day from the time we sat in the Temple Mall photo booth and took a string of black and white pictures and today. Even though almost a decade has passed, and some things have changed, the most important ones haven’t. You are still a sweet boy, with a generous and considerate nature. You’ve always been so gracious and grateful for things done for you, no matter how insignificant. I can’t tell you how much that means to me. You’re never stingy with taking the time to say “thank you” and telling me that you love me. These things never fail to make my heart swell. This morning I was telling you about the last MOC challenge & Laura’s journaling about her youngest daughter. It made such an impact on me because it’s how I feel about you. As my baby, there’s a part of my heart only you can ever own. I love you, Pookie!

My first MOC has been great fun. I had no idea what I was in for. I have learned what a BB code is and where to find it and how to use it! And the wonderful, inspirational layouts you have all made! Thank you everyone for all the encouraging words.

Day31 MOC6 Then & Now

Yay! All done. Thanks so much to everyone! And I hope I never have to count words again! lol!

Our home THEN and NOW. It was built by John’s best friend’s parents in 1960, and they sent us these pictures after we moved into it in 1998. John always loved Kevin’s house and said that when it went up for sale again, we would buy it. The Realtor pulled into the driveway and we all yelled, “I guess we are buying this house today!” And we did! We have lived here now for just about 20 years and we still love it. We have done some work, new bathrooms and kitchen, new windows, doors, and roof. There’s always something to do when you own a home. We will be sad to leave it we move south to Sarasota, Florida in a couple of years. We have had so many years of memories in this house and we hope that the next owners will love it as much as we have.
