Day31 MOC6 Then & Now
Journaling:Then it was the dress that I made for my wedding. Now it is my daughter’s wedding dress. Then it was worn by a 5' 6” boyish shaped bride. Now it fits a 4’ 10” DD bride. Then it was the dress of my dreams, an all over floral lace fabric embroidered with ribbon. Then I put it away, not knowing what the future would bring. Now 40 years later it was with great joy that I passed it on to Morgan.
Now we call it the magical dress because the only alterations I made to it were letting out the side seams - and there wasn’t much there to let out. How this dress fit 2 brides who were built so differently and almost a foot different in height was the miracle. The length of the dress was not altered at all. And it was perfect for both of us. Maybe someday "now" will become "then" again.

How special, I love your journaling and what a treasure that she was able to wear your dress, and that you made it! Those scattered bits down the middle are so pretty!
