Back then, she who barely explored her fenced in yard via pet door or otherwise, HATED exercise. In the photo, Princess is adoring Miss Mary. Princess loves to sit up like a baby whether in arms or in a lap. She even has a semi flat and square butt - I'm sure it is a result of sitting up for long periods. See, her tummy is the thing you MUST pet. Constantly. She will reach a paw out then drag any nearby hand towards it. . . even if 2 other hands are already rubbing it. She is royal! (cough cough, spoiled)
Now in the next photo, we have moved next door to the adoring grands. Let her out into this fenced yard and she will run around like crazy - peeing repeatedly on spots. With 7 dogs, she or Lil Man pees, the others all line up by rank to over pee. He runs on, peeing in several spots. While she runs around to the back of the first line to re-pee spot 1. First & Last is our girl. BUT, put a leash on her and the world has ended. She is 2 breaths from death. Lead her on a path, she suddenly has a lead bum. Amble along with no goal and she will tug you around to all sorts of interesting smells, strange frogs and go and go and go. She still hates exercise. Now, if Miss Mary or her sister takes the lead, Princess will go forever, calm, quiet, walking beside them, smelling a few things, with only a wee tug now and again. Being lead. Exercising even. No lead bum anywhere to be found.
