Hello pad scrappers!!!
I’m excited to talk to you today about one of my favorite tools to use in hybrid scrapbooking and memory keeping. There was some discussion of this tool in the Chatty Forum last week and I think *some* of you may be getting this tool for Christmas this year.
This tool, the HP Sprocket, is a small portable photo printer. The beauty of this little printer is that it enables you to print photos directly from your phone! Only about the size of a phone itself, it prints photos sized 2×3 inches with adhesive backing.
I’ve had my sprocket for a few years now and I want to share three ways that I use it for memory keeping with you.
Hybrid Scrapbooking
This tiny little printer is absolutely perfect for hybrid scrapbooking, especially in a traveler’s notebook. The small size makes for adorable photos that can be quickly and easily printed out and adhered to a layout. It’s also great for creating mini-albums on the go.
With this little printer, a traveler’s notebook, and just a small amount of hybrid scrapbooking supplies, you are all set for scrapbooking as you travel or away from home.
Planner Pages
I love using my printer for memory keeping in my planner. It’s a great way to document events that you have jotted down in your planner and such an easy way to document special moments.
In the planner layout above, I printed photos from our trip to Disneyland last September. I save my planners to look back on the memories I have recorded there.
Photo Display
The last way that I use my little Sprocket is simply for displaying photos! I love having lots of photos displayed around my home and this little printer makes it easy to do that. Pictured above are some photos I have attached to my letterboard that is by my desk.
Some of the pros of this little tool are that it doesn’t use ink, the paper is relatively low-cost and it is so easy to use on the go! It doesn’t print the highest quality photos ever, but the photos it prints are just right for the uses I have outlined here.
If you’ve used this tool or one like it for your memory keeping, I’d love to hear about it!!! And if not, you may want to consider adding a little portable printer to your Christmas list this year.
