Hi all, Sarah here with another installment of Simply Hybrid. Today I’ll be sharing some layouts that I created. Any of these layouts could be considered complete, but I love that by adding an element or two in each step, I’ve added a little bit of interest to each layout.
For this project I chose to use Rebel by Allison Pennington and Just Jaimee.
For this first layout, I kept it super simple. I chose this awesome background paper because I love the texture and let that and my photo do most of the talking. I matted my photo with the the purple solid paper and added a label with a digital stamp from the kit. The finishing touches were to add a simple line of journaling under the photo and date the bottom left corner with a standard office date stamp.
For then next layout I added a second picture..this one focusing in on the back of my daughter’s hair. I also matted this photo, this time with one of the patterned papers, and added a tab with a word strip.
For this layout I reprinted the background paper, this time I added a digital stamp (which I recolored and blended into the background paper). I added the banner to give me a little more space for journaling and also to help my journaling stand out against the textured paper better.
For my final layout I added a few embellishments as a finishing touch. The arrows were actually part of a digital stamp from the kit that I was able to cut out with my Silhouette, and I added the star to the corner of my photo mat.
I love that I was able to create an awesome layout using only items printed from this digital kit and my date stamp. If not having traditional scrapbooking supplies is holding you back from creating hybrid projects, I hope that this helps show that there are many ways to make your layout shine with just the printable items available in a digital kit.
