Hi everyone, Sarah here. Today I’m excited to share with you what I do for those weeks that there just isn’t much going on.
The second week in February will be a week that my daughter and I will be staying with my parents. We don’t have many plans, and most of our days will just be hanging out with them at their home. Since there won’t be a lot going on I decided to forgo my usual to do bullet points and decorate these days a little more heavily than I usually would, making sure to leave a little space just in case something comes up or I want to remember something that happened on a certain day.
I decided to use some of Kate Hadfield’s awesome artwork to help fill up some of that empty space. Since this week includes Valentine’s Day I thought a fun fairy tale theme would be a good fit for the week. When Knights were Bold and Happily Ever After seemed like the perfect choices to use for my planner pages. I also used Kate’s Everydays Journalers, Doodled Journalers, and Everyday Extras to add a few journaling elements to the pages.
I printed a few of the illustrations from each pack onto sticker paper and cut them out with my Silhouette Portrait. Here is a closer look at the two pages.
I love that this castle is perfect for filling up two boxes and adding interest to my page.
This dragon also takes up two boxes but there is enough room left over to put in a label so I can write something in if I need to.
The exception to having not much going on this week is Saturday, so I left plenty of room to write on this day.
I really love how these pages turned out and how much fun the doodled illustrations add to my pages.
How do you plan for your slower weeks? Do you use lots of illustrations like this, do you record more memories, or is there some other method you used to fill up your planner space? I’d love to know.
