Make It Monday Tri-Fold Card

Can you believe it’s almost Christmas?? I have so much wrapping to do but needed to make a birthday card for my nephew first. I decided with everything going on right now, I’d keep this one simple! Polly Robin here with another Make It Monday blog post and today I’m going to show you how to make a tri-fold birthday card using Memory Pockets Monthly Yippee.
I’ll give you the measurements so you can make one yourself. I cut out two rectangles from white cardstock. The first measured 4.25 x 8.5 inches and the second one measured 3 x 8 inches.
I also needed to cut two rectangles from patterned paper to decorate the card bases with. I cut them in the following measurements: 4 x 5.25 inches and 4 x 2.75 inches.
On the larger piece of cardstock, I scored it at 3 inches and then glued my patterned rectangles on the right side of both the front and the back:

I cut out two journal cards from the kit and trimmed them down to 2.75 x 3.75 inches. On the smaller piece of white card stock, I scored it halfway at 4 inches and then glued the two journal cards on the left side of both the front and back:

Now it was a pretty simple matter of stamping my sentiment and adhering the smaller card on the right side of the larger card like this:

Finally, fold the card along the score lines and you get a tri-folded birthday card!

See how easy this is? You can print one piece of pattern paper for the larger card base and either journal cards or another pattern paper for the inside one. So just two pieces of paper and you can make so many cards quickly without any special tools.
Well, thanks for reading this post and I hope you enjoyed seeing this process. Merry Christmas!
