Hello everyone! I’m happy to be back posting again and sharing my current hybrid memory keeping project – Something Good In Each Day. It is an on-going project throughout the month of November and I’m really glad that I’m doing it this year. It has helped me reflect on my day and recognize the importance of the little things and what matters (and what doesn’t).
I shared here that in the past I’ve kept a daily thankful album throughout the month of November, and this year I decided to switch it up a bit to instead focus each day on something that is good…with the theme of “every day may not be good, but there’s something good every day”. I love this shift in my focus!
I’m creating this album with digital supplies from the designers at The Lilypad, as well as traditional scrapbooking supplies – paper, wood veneer elements, stamping, and embossing. I really enjoy the combination of the two and my hybrid album is progressing nicely. I detailed my thoughts and supplies I’m using in a previous post and I’m happy to share some of my pages with you.
It has really helped to have my digital supplies printed ahead of time and all my physical supplies nearby so that when I am ready to create my pages, everything is accessible and I don’t have to second guess any of my design choices. I’m keeping it simple, including a small photo, a brief note and following a pattern to my pages to try to achieve a cohesive look throughout the album. Most importantly, I made the decision to let go of perfection, overlook any messiness (I’m NOT a neat crafter!) and just create – get joyfully lost in the process, it is what it is, and that is what makes it special! :)
I’d love to hear if you are also creating a project this month and how you are progressing! The next few weeks are sure to get busy, but I’m going to keep taking it day by day, focusing on the good, and appreciating this time. And in a couple of weeks I hope to share another project progress update!
