Hybrid Highlights

Happy Hybrid Monday! Polly Dawn here with another edition of Hybrid Highlights. We’ve had some amazing hybrid pages and projects added lately!

First up is this traveler’s notebook from Ann-Sofie. Whether or not I’m planning to make a vacation album when I get back, I find it really helpful and fun to bring along a cute traveler’s notebook on a trip. I use it to keep notes about what we did, funny moments, favorite activities and meals, etc. I usually ask others on the trip to contribute a note, a page or a sketch. Then when I get back, I can use all of those notes for my vacation album (or just add some photos to the traveler’s notebook and call it done!). Ann-Sofie’s traveler’s notebook is a great example of a TN to bring along. It is made with Here We Go | Collection by Rachel Etrog Designs.

Next up is this positively gorgeous layout by ajm. I love the use of the white background and this page has so much texture that I want to reach out and touch it. Made with Breath mixed media project kit by Rachel Jefferies & Lynn Grieveson.

Polly Claire does it again with a charming collection of note cards, pefect for the cat or pet-lover in your life. Claire’s cards always shows how you can take one collection and make a bunch of different cards! Cost effective and efficient! Made with Little Butterfly Wings – Crazy Cat Lady bundle.

I live in Arizona with my husband, Gary, and when I’m not busy with my day job as a lawyer, you’ll usually find me lost in one of my many hobbies—photography, scrapbooking, journaling, reading, planning, or tackling a new DIY project around the house.

My creative style is eclectic, colorful, and often hybrid. I work both digitally and hands-on, so my essential tools include my computer with Photoshop, my Silhouette Cameo cutter, and—of course—my camera, which helps capture the memories I love to scrap.

Inspiration is everywhere for me. I’m constantly drawn to other creators and artists, and I save ideas to revisit when I finally have time to sit down and create.

If you’re just starting out, it might sound cliché, but enjoy the journey. Don’t pressure yourself to be perfect. Start with the basics, take your time, and let yourself grow as you learn new techniques. Creativity should always feel like a joy, not a test.
