Hi friends!!!
I’m excited to share a hybrid birthday card that was so to make with you today! If you’re not sure you can do a hybrid project, such as a homemade card, I urge you to give a simple project like this a try.
When I saw the Sprinkles stickers and papers by Becca Bonneville in the shop last weekend, I just knew I had to use them for birthday cards! I made two cards to share with you today, but these supplies can be used to make a number of different cards that would be adorable for anyone’s birthday.
To make these cards, I first created a 5.5 x 4.25 inch document in Photoshop. I then layered papers and stickers on this document to make the front of the card, adding shadows to the paper and sticker layers.
I repeated this process to make a second card front with a different design.
The formula I used for the card design is a solid paper on the bottom layer, a patterned paper above that, and another solid layer on top. I added two stickers, one with a phrase and one just an image.
I then flattened the layers of those two documents. I placed these two cards on the bottom half of a letter-sized document, rotated 90 degrees (landscape view).
I printed this document out and used a paper trimmer to cut down the middle of it, to cut out the two cards. Then I folded each card from the top.
These two cards will make an adorable gift for some special birthdays I have coming up! I will simply make envelopes from patterned papers and add a gift card to go along with it.
