Hello, friends!!
I don’t often experience FOMO (fear of missing out), but this year I have to admit that I have loved seeing my Instagram feed filled with October Daily albums and projects. I have loved it so much, that I decided to begin my own Halloween album.
I’m not taking on an October Daily album, because I’m not quite that ambitious, but I am doing an album to combine our Halloween stories through the years. I found an empty 6×8 album to use that already had quite a bit of page protectors inside it, so that is the size I’m going with.
Today I am sharing my cover page and the first spread and I hope to share a finished album with you near the end of this month!
I created the cover page using A Little Witchy Stickers by Becca Bonneville. Her stickers are always so much fun to play with!! The scripted “Halloween” word was actually on one of the cards in the A Little Witchy Cards also by Becca Bonneville. I selected the word using the magnetic wand tool and moved it to the 6×8 sized document for this cover page. I printed this out on white cardstock.
For the back of the cover page, I used A Little Witchy Papers for the background paper and placed a journal card on top. I journaled on this card using The Sofia font from The Golden Friends set by Heather Joyce. I added the cauldron pot element from the sticker set to this for added dimension.
For the first spread in this album I printed a photo of my oldest girls’ first Halloween in 2005. I used a patterned paper from Witch Please by Sahin Designs as the background paper on this 4×6 journal card. To that I added alphas and elements from Spooky by Pink Reptile Designs.
I am so excited to continue working on this album project! I love working with all of the fun Halloween themed products in the store and had a blast looking through all of my Halloween photos through the years.
