January 15: Paper Blending (Technique Challenge)

I used quite a few items from the Happy Collab.

Here are the papers I used: Bella Gypsy - Happy Collab (normal). Tangie Baxter - Happy Collab (lighten). Gina Miller - Happy collab - Overlay). Paula Kesselring - M3 Dec 2016 (darker color). Nancie Rowe Janitz - Digital Distressing Kit (edging set at divide). Other credits are in the gallery.

I blended a chevron pattern over the paper that was plain except the stars:

I use PhotoDraw (an obsolete program) so mine is done differently...but I blended two pattern papers over a white BG

Everything in this LO came from Just Jaimee October Storyteller :)
I blended the polka paper into the grungy, cream colored paper.

Here is my page!
My blending isn't anything too excited but I had fun anyway!
This was a big challenge for me and one I wasn't looking forward to, to be honest...

I've blended a black background paper with the painted background paper by using the "soft light" mode.

Journaling translated:
On december 31st my dad and I went hunting for good carbide shooting. We had seen on Facebook that there was a group in Meppen that had lots of cans. So we went there. And yes, we counted 68 regular milk cans, or rather we counted the shoots, and two big ones with bouncy balls. The organization was also really good, there were even walking paths! Also the pace in which they shot the balls, was really high. A good year for carbide!

I also do the blending a lot, usually with striped papers, making them into a plaid, but this kit didn't have a stripe. So I blended a light woody paper with the blue polka dot paper on the left side, the changed the opacity to 30%.

Here's mine!

I blended the rainbow paper with a cardboard paper to get the rainbow colors on the cardboard texture... I like how it came out super bright and vibrant! To get that effect, I have the rainbow on the bottom with normal mode. Above that, 2 layers of cardboard, one at overlay 100% and one at multiply 60%!

Huggles!!

I created an ATC for this challenge.
Blending –
- top layer newspaper: Multiply at 61%
- middle layer stripe: Screen at 75%
- bottom layer solid: Normal at 100%

This was fun - I always forget to do this kind of thing - trying to go too fast. I changed the colorful planet paper to black and white and blended it with the black galaxy paper. I love the result! Thanks for the fun challenge!

PURe fun, thank you for this challenge, I love to blend to my hearts content!! I admit to spending more time on blend modes than I should! lol
