Life isn't always a smooth ride - sometimes we fall off, hit a bump, or take an unexpected detour. This challenge is all about resilience. Whether it's a fear you've faced, a setback you've overcome, or a dream you've decided to chase again, we want you to tell that story!

Your challenge:

Create a layout that reflects a moment when you had to pick yourself back up - emotionally, physically, or creatively. Journal about the ups and downs, the fear, the hesitation, and the courage it took to try again.

You can interpret this theme however it fits your journey - big or small, serious or lighthearted. Whether it's restarting a hobby, healing from personal loss, or just braving something new, your story matters!

Requirements:

Your layout should include the following:

* Journaling - at least 3 meaningful sentences
Reflect on a time when you had to try something again — maybe even over and over — until you finally succeeded, felt peace, or found your footing again. It could be about anything (parenting, creativity, mental health, relationships, habits, or personal goals.... ).

* * At least one “messy” element. Include paint, stitching, a torn edge, scribbles, or anything that feels imperfect — a nod to the messiness of the comeback process.

* * * At least one repeated element or design motif. Represent the idea of repetition by repeating an element in your layout at least 3 times (ex. shape, stamp, word art ....). This is your visual nod to “keep trying.”
Use a quote or word art related to strength, growth, or determination. You can create your own, use a quote pack, or add a title like “Try Again,” “Keep Going,” “Fall Down, Get Up,” etc.

To recap: Create a layout about persistence, resilience and getting back up after a failure, highlighting both the struggle and the victory or continuing battle.

Here is my example for inspiration:
This photo is from 18 years ago when I was actively involved as a singer, recording my voice on multiple album projects for other artists. I always wanted to record my own music, but we were broke and too busy. Now that our kids are grown and we have the means to make this happen, I fear that I might be too old or irrelevant. With our move to another province, we lost our local musical connections. This is where I will need to get back in the saddle, face my fears, and do it anyways.

My repeated elements are the starburst and the word journey. I used messy paint at the bottom of the page to show the inner struggle (product links posted in gallery).

Thanks for hosting, Lynne-Marie! Here is mine:

- One repeated design motif: road signs (used 5)
- Messy element (sprinkles, also 2 drawn arrows)
- at least 3 lines of journaling - see gallery

Just a question.... does this have to be about me or can I do my son's journey? ... there've been a few hiccups along the way that I need to record and this challenge would be perfect.

Yes, it would be fine to scrap about your son. As mothers, we tend to carry our children’s burdens and struggles alongside them.
