Challenge wk 4 Back in the Saddle.
Journalling
My life has always been about family. With no grandparents, Aunts, Uncles or even cousins within 1000km I yearned for family. Always. I was raised in chaos and violence. When you are the oldest in the family, you take on the protector role of your siblings. I rushed into adulthood to escape. Fortunately I picked an extremely good man that to this day, 45yrs later , who is still by my side. I married very young and had 2 boys by 21. Being a young mum has made me a young grandmother. The greatest gifts that you can every have. The past 20yrs I take the photos, I create the photo books, I keep the memories, I tell the stories. It's my passion. However I didn't stop, ever, to take stock of me. WHO AM I ? How did I get here? What are my stories? Who's behind the mask? Hopefully I can answer some of the questions in these pages. Im going to do this little book on me. Yikes
Wendy, what a powerful page and so open. I am so thrilled you have your own immediate family of your DH, sons and their families. Special for sure. I am glad you are going to start scrapping about yourself. I think it is important for your grandchildren (even your sons) to know more about you Love the way you scrapped this and so glad you found the happiness you were looking for in your own core family. Your extraction work and blending is fabulous here. Thank you for sharing.
Wonderful page. Such transparent journaling about your early life. Will look forward to more pages about you. I like your mix of blended and extracted photos with all the little elements creating a cohesive cluster.
I love that you are focusing more on self-discovery, after years of putting all your energies into caring for others. That is one of the best parts of getting older! I'm right there with you!
