Hi friends!! I’m thrilled to share these festive treat bags I recently made to give gifts to my neighbors.
I ordered small kraft paper bags with windows from Amazon earlier and then used Falala Elements from Designed by Soco and Jingle Elements from Allison Pennington to decorate these bags.
These were super fun and easy to make using my Silhouette cutting machine to print and cut out the elements and word art on sticker paper. You could do it without a cutting machine by just printing on sticker paper and fussy cutting around the elements.
Here are the steps you can follow to create these treat bags:
- Select various elements and word phrases from the two element packs and bring them into Silhouette Studio with the following page setup.
- Resize elements as needed to fit onto the treat bag you’re using. (I tried to keep each element under 2 inches in width.)
- Trace around each element and create an offset, deleting the original cut lines. (I used an offset distance of 0.045)
- Send to printer loaded with white sticker paper.
- Send to Silhouette cutting machine with the following cut settings for a “kiss cut”. Blade: 2 Speed: 7 Force: 8
- Peel stickers off and place on your treat bags.
I filled my treat bags with Christmas candy and homemade fudge. They would be great filled with all kinds of holiday treats!!
Here are a few ideas for items you can fill your treat bags with:
- chex mix
- candy (store bought or home made)
- cookies
- fudge
- candied pecans
- ornaments
I can’t wait to surprise my neighbors with these adorable treats!
