Hi Pad scrappers!! It’s Monica here with a quick, but very practical and useful hybrid project for you.
One of my first purchases, when we move to a new location, is usually a set of contact cards. Think of them as business cards, but more personal and less business. They come in super handy when I’m meeting new people in a community. I’m able to just hand them a contact card with my address, phone number and email to keep in contact.
The company that I like to use for my contact cards stopped offering them in the two years since my last move, so I didn’t get these right away after moving this summer.
Then I had a revelation that I could easily make these myself with digi supplies!! I whipped a set of thirty cards out and I am very happy with the outcome.
After selecting the designs I wanted to use from my stash, I first printed a patterned paper on a letter-sized sheet of cardstock.
Then I designed the contact cards sized 3.5 x 2 inches. When I was happy with them I flattened the image and fit as many as I could on a new letter-sized file. I ended up being able to fit ten cards on a page.
I placed the printed patterned paper back into the printer (faced down and turned over) and sent the sheet of contact cards to be printed.
Once these were printed, I used a paper trimmer to cut them out. My cat is a constant companion when I’m crafting and I just have to work around her.
After they were all printed out, I used a punch board to round the corners of the cards.
You could leave the corners squared as well, but I think I prefer the rounded corners.
There are so many possibilities to these cards!! I love having them on hand when meeting new people and they were so easy to put together…so much easier and fun than ordering!
