Hi scrapping friends!!! It’s Polly Monica here with a quick and easy tutorial for you!
I love to use elements such as sequins, confetti and scatters on my layouts…they’re just such a fun addition! But sometimes I don’t love that they cover up or interfere with other design elements on the page, such as a photo or word art.
In today’s tutorial, I’m going to show you how I quickly and easily fix that pesky little problem using the lasso tool!
I’m using a journal card and sequin element from MPM: Bloom. As you can see, the sequins are covering up some of the wording on the journal card. I’m going to show you how to fix that.
First, with the sequins layer selected, you’ll use the lasso tool to draw a circle around the sequins that I want to separate or move around.
Then you’ll use the move tool to move them to a better location. Use Control+D to deselect your selection. You may have to repeat this until you get the look you want.
In this example, I first moved the blue, white and red sequins on the top left and then I repeated the process to move the green sequin over by the letter “y” in beauty.
Here is a video tutorial of this process:

I hope you find this tutorial useful in your scrapbooking! It’s certainly a trick that I find myself using quite often.
