Hello again, Polly Stefanie here with a fun take on using templates. We know that we can change up templates, but how often do we use the same template and kit and create totally different layouts? I decided to do just that this week.
I started with The intrinsic series Oxley duo template set And used it pretty much as it was. Disconnected bits and bobs, basic backgrounds, inky botanicals stamps and brush set.
I added papers and used the multiply blending mode so the “fold” in the papers would stay. I liked the pops of the orange as the door behind me has an orange hue, so I felt it tied in to the photo.
For my second Layout I moved the middle cluster off to the right, including the paint layer. I also added pops of purple, just because there was a purple tub of hand cream in the photo, so it worked. One pop of purple in three spots creates a fun visual triangle.
And lastly I used a large photo as the background, swapped out the purple for green and changed the orange paper to pink. There are similar shades of red and pink in the bricks within the photo, so I feel that worked too. There you have it – three quite different layouts using exactly the same template and kit. Let’s stash bash together.

As I’m still in the getting started stage, I enjoyed your evolutions and explanations. Thanks..
