Happy Thanksgiving! With so much going on during this time of year, I’m always looking for quick and easy projects for my memory keeping. As my kids get older, it has become more challenging to get them to engage in all of the thankful arts and crafts projects that I so loved creating with them in their elementary school years. And to be honest, I wouldn’t expect them to do those cute craft projects any more!
But I still love having their perspectives and handwritten preserved, so this year I decided to make some simple journal cards for each family member to write down something that they are thankful for, a favorite memory from the past year, or anything they’d like to share. I just want them to tell me something good!
While there are so many great journal cards already available in the shop at The Lilypad, I was feeling creative and decided to make my own cards using a variety of designer’s kits from the recent Digital Scrapbooking Day blog hop freebie, “Yes!”. I created the cards in Photoshop, printed on my home printer, cut them up and they are now ready to be filled in my my family and, since they are 3×4″ journal cards, I can easily add them to my pocket journaling, in a traveler’s notebook, or on a traditional scrapbook page!
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and are able to find something good to enjoy!
