So, how many photos have you taken with your camera this week? A few? A ton? And how many of those photos do you love? Is that number is a bit lower than you’d like? Never fear, I’m going to help you improve your odds of loving your Phoneography images today. You can thank me later.
First, anyone who is vaguely familiar with Phoneography probably knows about the Camera+ App. I’ve been testing a few “pro” photography apps this week and although I really like a few of them, this is the one you need to know about.
It will really allow you to take the point and shoot ability of your phone to a whole new level. The Camera+ Website can explain better than me, but basically you can improve your photo with a touch of a button… and if you want to go crazy, a few buttons :).
Take this picture I snapped today with my native iPhone camera. We were at the lake and I was a good distance away. I don’t love the shot, but that’s my son on the tube and wanted to capture the moment.
I imported it into my Camera+ App and clicked two buttons… auto (no brainer, right) and flash (adjusted this down a bit). This is just the very, very, very tip of the iceberg with this app, but I wanted to show you the difference already.
And this is nowhere close to as good as I could get it if I spent more than 30 seconds editing. Nonetheless, I wholeheartedly believe this app is worth the $1.99 they charge for it.
And this brings me to the second app I want to highlight today. This one is super cool. It’s called LensLight and it adds all kinds of optical effects to your image. The app is here, the website is here.
I imported my photo from above into the app and again, clicked two buttons… one for the flare I wanted and another for a little filter effect. And this is what I got…
I’m not sure which edit I like best, but the beauty is that I can save them both and decide later. Now, to figure out which kit to use to scrap it with…
This one?
Or this one?
Or this one?
What kit would you use? Help me find the perfect fit. Please…
I just LOVE my phone :).
Enjoy.

I have to go with weekender. I love that kit. I also love teak tree, but I think the yellow in the other will really make the gold in the photo pop.
