Say Hi to January’s M3!

I hope you’ve all had a great January so far.  If you’re participating in our Month of Challenges, you are halfway there!!!  Hang in there and finish strong!  There is a handsome reward for those who finish.  🙂

In other news, we have a new M3 collection debuting this week.  For those of you who are just joining us, M3 stands for Mixed Media Monthly.  Every month, some of our most talented mixed media designers collaborate to create a collection of products that are centered around a color palette and three key words.  This month’s words are SINCERE/TRUST/FRIENDSHIP.  This month’s designers are Paula Kesselring, Lynne-Marie, Little Butterfly Wings and Rachel Jefferies.  The palette this month is a bright one with pops of fuschia.  Check out the main kit for this month:

After the main kit is created, each designer can create add-ons that coordinate with the kit but allow the designer to explore her own style.  Here are two that caught my eye…

I’m a creative who pulls inspiration from all corners of life—both the joyful highs and the real-life moments that punch you in the gut. Honestly, I don’t think I can pin down a single scrapbooking style for myself, so let’s just go with eclectic. My layouts really depend on my mindset. If I’m in a deep, cerebral mood, you’ll likely see something chaotic and messy. If I’m more relaxed, it tends to come out clean, simple, and structured.

My brain is usually running on several channels at once, so it’s completely normal for me to be working on a digital layout, dabbling in a hybrid project, and getting messy with art journaling or mixed media—all at the same time.

Here are a few of my go-to tools: Digital: Adobe Photoshop CC + my MacBook; Photos: Canon Rebel or iPhone; Hybrid: Cricut Joy + sewing machine; Art Journaling: watercolors, stencils, and artsticks

And when it comes to embellishments—digital or physical—I’m always reaching for messy threads, ribbons, and Polaroids. Always the Polaroids.
