Hi, everyone. Sarah here and I’m so excited to bring you another round of DIY Planner accessories. I’m using the Me and My Big Ideas Happy Planner but these accessories could work with almost any planner system.
Since next week is my birthday week I decided to use the It’s Your Birthday Element Pack from Just Jaimee for my planner pages and accessories. I also used the coordinating papers and journal cards. I love the fun pastel colors and cute doodles so much!
For my first accessory I decided to try my hand at making a dashboard. I printed two of the papers back to back on a sheet of bright white cardstock and covered it with clear shelf liner (I used Duck brand).
To be able to place it in my planner I marked were the holes need to go and then took a regular 1/4″ office hole punch and punched the holes. The next step was to use a pair of small scissors to cut narrow slits coming from the holes so that I could snap it into place in my planner.
The next accessory that I made is a magnetic clip. For this one I printed off a strip of the patterned paper 1.5″x5″ and then folded it in half. The next step was to place small magnets on each side so that the clip would stay in place in my planner. You could also cover this with clear shelf liner to increase the durability of the clip.
The final accessories that I have to share with you today are these cute banner paper clips. I again created strips from Jaimee’s patterned papers, this time at .5″x3″. I folded these in half and cut the dovetails out of the bottom at about .75″. I placed these on a small paper clip and attached using a Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher (I just love these itty bitty staples for projects like this). The final touch was to add stickers that I created from the element pack that I printed onto white sticker paper. I think Jaimee’s doodles work perfectly resized and placed on these tiny banners.
I love having these accessories to help me plan out my week. Here’s a photo of everything in action.
I hope you enjoyed this post and if you make any of these accessories for your planner I’d love to see them.
